Judged Competitions

Whether it is a body building competition, a ploughing competition, a dancing competition, a livestock show or a beauty pageant all judged competitions have certain elements in common. They have a number of contestants, exhibits or teams competing in different categories. The judges decide either amongst themselves who the winners are or they score the contestants using a variety of criteria and the score keeper or secretary who collates the scores, applies rules, makes required statistical adjustments and produces the final results.

Many of these competitions start out small and over a number of years as more contestants compete, categories or classes are added, more judges are needed and the score keeper or secretary's job is transformed from simply adding up scores to inputting, managing and collating huge amounts of information and producing a myriad of results reports for print and increasingly for the web.

Our job is to minimise and eventually eliminate tedious processing jobs, to eliminate workflow bottlenecks, to minimise and eliminate errors, add value in terms of sponsor/advertising revenue streams and ultimately facilitate a seamless, hassle-free competition.
